Artists are the heartbeat of our community.
We’re always excited to support them in their work, ensuring a rich seam of Cornish talent continues to feed into the global performance industry.
Artist Development Programme
Our artist development programme offers advice, training and opportunities for artists both starting out and established, through workshops, masterclasses and surgeries.
Our focus on continued professional development helps artists hone their skills in everything from storycraft to improvisation, directing to stage management, dance to voice technique. We run scratch events in partnership with other organisations across Cornwall and have an open door for one-to-one consultations to help with career development and project planning.
For early career practitioners at any time in life, we also offer close support in first time budgeting, fundraising, application writing and contract negotiation.
New Artist Network
Our artists network invites career artists and practitioners to collaborate and discuss ideas for new work. Our aim is to support a personal understanding of the creative arts in Cornwall, developing industry knowledge by commissioning opportunities and connecting with other creative minds.
Our network is suitable for anyone who has graduated from Higher Education or entered the Creative Workforce within the last 18 months.

Play Club
A monthly play reading club for anyone working in the Theatre Industry, whether an actor, director, teacher, producer or playwright. Previously, we’ve explored classic texts, one act plays, fringe favourites and are currently looking at new writing, particularly unperformed and unpublished plays.
All sessions are currently held online under the name of ‘Plug & Play Club’.

In partnership with FEAST, we’re hosting weekly drop in sessions for artists across Cornwall to connect, network and receive support. Sessions are are held online, click here to participate and sign up and you’ll automatically receive the meeting link.
Peninsula Dance Partnership
With Plymouth Dance and Dance in Devon we’re collectively working together to share resources and support dance artists from across the peninsular. With regular networking sessions, dance card micro bursaries and investment into masterclasses, we’re here to support dance artists who work across the region.
We welcome a diverse freelance workforce and aspire to support people from all backgrounds in making a career in the performing arts.
